Spring CSA 2024

Flower subscriptions follow the CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) model, where small and local farms like us produce and distribute our bounty directly to customers. Flowers from us every week will delight you with vibrant seasonal blooms. If you love flowers I am certain that you will enjoy our flower subscription.

You will be supporting a local farm which means your money stays in the local community, your flowers didn’t fly around the globe burning fossil fuels just get to you, and your plants were grown organically and sustainably. Most of all, you will have beautiful flowers next to you, which were grown at a farm nearby. A small bunch of nature every week to keep you in tune with the season. If you think that is important and that a bouquet will make you happy, then this subscription is for you.

Membership Agreements between a member (you) and farmers (us at Whispering Flower Farm)

As your farmers, we pledge to do the following.
  • Grow the most beautiful flowers in a wide variety.

  • We will strive to grow a diverse range of high quality flowers all season long.

  • Work hard to mitigate the risks inherent in farming.

    We will work tirelessly to mitigate the risks posed by inclement weather, pests, and other challenges associated with growing flowers using organic methods.

  • Write a weekly newsletter.

    We will write a CSA newsletter every week outlining the blooms you can expect at pickup, as well as farm updates. This newsletter will be distributed via email and arrive either 1 day before or in the morning of pickup every week.

  • Grow your flowers with love and care and be gentle with nature.

    We will work with nature to bring abundance and beauty.

By purchasing a flower CSA share from Whispering Flower Farm, either for yourself or as a gift, you agree to the following terms and conditions as the recipient.
  • Payment

    I understand that once I sign up and pay for my membership in full, I have secured my place in the CSA for the respective period. There are no refunds, either full or partial, for cancellation of my CSA once purchased. Members may choose to find an alternate person to buy out the rest of the season’s share, and the share ownership will be transferred to the alternate person. The alternate person will pay the original shareholder directly. I understand that I am responsible for informing Whispering Flower Farm if such a transfer occurs.

  • Picking up a flower bouquet

    I understand that my share will be delivered weekly at the pickup location. If I am out of town or unable to pick up my CSA for any reason, I understand that it is my responsibility to find a substitute to take my share. If I am unable to pick up my share or find a substitute to pick up my share, I will not receive credit or a refund for any shares that I do not pick up. The flowers that have not been picked up will be forfeited at the end of the day, and the host of the pick-up site will decide what to do with the flowers.

  • Changes to my share

    I understand that once I have purchased a CSA, I am not able to change the pickup location, request an alternate pickup date for my share(s), or extend my share due to a missed pick up for any reason. I may coordinate transfer of my share to another individual. I understand that Whispering Flower Farm does not facilitate such transfers, and that I will make all arrangements for the new shareholder to pay me directly for the remainder of the share.

  • Sharing the harvest

    I understand that as a CSA member, I share in both the bounty and the risks of farming. I understand that the risks include poor harvests due to unfavorable weather or pests, or the total loss of all crops due to a natural disaster such as fire, flood, drought, tropical storm or hurricane.

  • Flower care

    I understand that flowers are a perishable product, with a variable vase life of 3-5 days. Each weekly CSA email will be sent with care instructions for my flowers. I understand that all flowers in my share are delivered in peak condition and that all varieties have a different vase life, dependent on care. Whispering Flower Farm will not be held responsible for shortened vase life or poor flower quality once I receive my share from the pickup location. Should there be any issue with my flowers upon pickup from the host location, I will contact via email within 12 hours to communicate the issue, and when possible will include photographs to document the problem.

  • Communication

    By signing up for the CSA, I understand that I will be added to the weekly email list, and I agree to add yeon@whisperingFlowerFarm.com to my email contacts. This is how Whispering Flower Farm communicates updates and changes, as well as what will be in shares each week. Whispering Flower Farm will not be held responsible for miscommunications due to the e-mails going to my spam folder. I will notify the farm immediately if I do not receive an e-mail receipt of my payment or my weekly CSA emails.

    I understand that Whispering flower farm may need to contact me via phone regarding my share if the information is time-sensitive (i.e. alerting me of a same-day change to my CSA pickup), or if I am not responsive to attempts to contact me via email.
